- to be obedient to God's Word (v 24) - "Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man..." Simply put hearing God's Word and knowing Christ is not good enough. Each of us who claim Christians should put to practice His teachings.
- of the final test/judgment (v 25) - "The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house..." It's quite obvious Christians and non-Christians suffers the same test categories, but Christians should exhibit a more victorious results.
- that true faith in Christ will last (v 25) - "...yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock." Jesus Christ is the rock of our salvation and we received it by grace through faith in Him. Keeping that faith alive conquers all adversities.
Lord thank you for giving us the opportunity for your wisdom.
